Irwin Lampert was appointed as a member of the Codiac Regional Policing Authority (CRPA) in 2020. Irwin is a retired Judge who served the Province Court of New Brunswick from 1988-2019. Prior to this, Irwin practiced general law in the City of Moncton from 1970-1988. He received his Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree from the University of New Brunswick in 1970 and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Dalhousie University in 1967.

Irwin was the recipient of the City of Moncton Commemorative Medallion 1990. He served as President of the Canadian Association of Provincial Court Judges from 2006-2007 and was a Governor of the American Judges Association. His Past Professional Memberships include the Canadian Association of Provincial Court Judges, the New Brunswick Provincial Court Judges Association, the New Brunswick Judicial Council and the American Judges Association.

Since 2019, he has been an Independent Chairperson for the Correctional Service of Canada and is licensed by the Province of New Brunswick as a Civil Officiant. He has been performing weddings in the province since 2020.

He served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Hospice Southeast New Brunswick from 2021-2022. Since 2022, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission and has been volunteering at the Moncton Hospital since 2019.

Irwin is married to Audrey, a retired educator. They have 3 adult children and are grandparents to 6 grandchildren. In his free time, Irwin enjoys walking, reading and travelling.
